What is the best all around pot and pan cooking set I can buy for under $200?
I am looking to upgrade my cooking set and have no idea which type to get. I cook every night for my family and I would like something easy to clean and durable. I would like to stay under $200 but could possibly spend a little more on a really good set. Any in-put and experiences will really help me, thank you.
You will get a reasonably good Hampton & Mason Stainless Steel 6 piece set for about $120.00 on special, including a steamer and stockpot. If you haven't got H&P brand there, you really should look at pots that have a heavy base, as the lighter metal ones will tend to form a bowl shaped base, with high heat.
All frypans will form a dome shape base with high heat regardless of how much you pay for them ot their brand. "They are not designed for high heat" regardless of what others may say.
You should seriously consider what pots you will need depending on the side of the family.
You may find you actually want two 2l pots, a smaller 1l pot and a steamer, a stock pot and a frypan.
