What kind of desserts are suitable for invalids in recovery periods?
I'm doing my food tech work and i plan to make the invalids my target group. I want to ask what kind of desserts are suitable for them. (preferbly easy to make) and also are the folowing ones suitable?
1. apple sponge flan
2. Apple Crumble
3. Apple Charlotte
4. Pineapple upside down pudding
5. jelly whip
6. steamed sponge pudding

You need something that is very easy to make and easy to eat. i suggest maybe jelly and custard or jelly with fruit inside. the jelly is something that the patient won't have to chew so therefore there is no risk of chocking. You have to be very careful with hot deserts as this runs the risk of the patient burning themselves. You must also take the nutritional value of the pudding into account - fruit for example will up their vitamin intake and speed up the recovery period.
